Debenham High SchoolProject: Classroom and Dining Room Extensions Contractor: Brooks and Wood Architect: Hoopers Project Outline: This project involved the construction of two medium sized extensions - one providing two new classrooms, the other providing additional dining space. Both extensions were constructed from timber frame, one with a conventional concrete ground bearing slab and the other with a suspended timber floor to match existing levels. The dining extension proved a little tricky with the requirement to bridge over existing services within the building footprint and to provide support to a replacement glazing system in the existing gable.
